University of Tulsa
The University of Tulsa is a private institution with approximately 4,049 students. Located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, The University of Tulsa (TU) features personalized study in engineering, the natural sciences, computer science, business, health professions, the humanities, and fine and performing arts.
TU offers bachelor's degrees in 89 areas of study, 33 master's degrees and 12 doctoral degrees. In addition, the J.D. degree is offered by TU's College of Law. TU's three undergraduate colleges are the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, the College of Business Administration, and the Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences.
As an active collaborator with business and industry, TU conducts research in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, computer security, biology and other disciplines. The university is nationally recognized for its undergraduate research opportunities, including the Tulsa Undergraduate Research Challenge, which fosters community service and offers undergraduate scholars challenging research and one-on-one mentoring with faculty.
Campus growth includes the recent addition of a 34-acre sports and recreation complex, including a student health and fitness center and a tennis center. Extracurricular options at TU include professional organizations, special-interest clubs, intramural sports, fraternities and sororities, and campus ministry groups. TU is an NCAA Division-I participant in the Western Athletic Conference and maintains an affiliation with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
