Mentors and Protégés: Don't Forget to Write
It's summertime and the livin' is easy, but don't forget to stay in touch with your protégé or mentor over the break if you're continuing your relationship into the coming year. It's easy to put it off, but catching up and checking in a few times between now and September will make it easier to keep the thread going once school starts.
Signing Up: New and Improved (Plus Better Security)
We've streamlined the sign-up process for new members. To join the MentorNet community, all you need to provide is you user name, password, first and last names, and email address. Once you submit the form, the site sends you to the right page to sign up for the One-on-One Programs or just enter the Community--no more waiting for confirmation before you're "official." And passwords are now fully encrypted for all users, so your information is safer than ever.
