Maui Community College
Maui Community College serves students in Maui County, with campuses on the islands of Maui, Molokai and Lanai, as well as in rural Hana, Maui. In order to meet the needs of students on several islands, MCC takes advantage of distance education technology, and offers courses via county and statewide video conferences. MCC has focused on development of its technology curriculum, and offers an Associate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET).
Also housed at the MCC campus is the University of Hawaii Center, Maui. This extension campus offers bachelor and master degree programs via distance education from four-year degree offering campuses of the University of Hawaii. Among other programs, the UH Center, Maui offers a bachelor and master degree program in Computer Science via distance education from the University of Hawaii, Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii.
In cooperation with the Women in Technology Project of the Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. Maui Community College and the University of Hawaii Center, Maui are committed to increasing educational and employment opportunities for women in math, science, engineering and technology on Maui. In support of this goal, they are pleased to offer MentorNet to support students in math, science, engineering and technology at the MCC campus.
