MentorNet Receives $150,000 Grant from IBM
IBM has awarded a three-year $150,000 grant to MentorNet for program support under the auspices of its Women in Technology Initiative,
which encourages women to pursue technology careers. The company has been a key strategic partner with MentorNet since its beginning in 1998.
"IBM is proud to support MentorNet simply because women represent a pool of talent that is under-tapped by industry," said Helene Armitage,

MentorNet will present a pre-conference workshop April 10, 3-5 PM at the annual WEPAN/NAMEPA conference in Las Vegas, NV.
The workshop will describe what students and professionals experience as they engage with MentorNet's One-on-One programs, how MentorNet's
e-mentoring programs are especially instrumental in helping students of color, what tools are available to partnering organizations to help them
take advantage of MentorNet services, and how MentorNet's research and technology support mentoring relationships on a large scale.

Stanford Conference Explores Gender, Science and Creativity
Stanford University's Institute for Research on Women and Gender is hosting a conference titled "Gendered Innovations in Science and Engineering"
April 15-16 that will look at how gender analysis tools, when turned to science, medicine, and engineering, can have a profound effect on human knowledge,

University of Minnesota Joins MentorNet

Drive for 500 Campus Challenge Winners
MentorNet is awarding campus representatives who helped sign up the most new protégés in our Drive for 500 campaign with a newly designed MentorNet T-shirt.

Treasurer Betsy Willis, director, Undergraduate Student Experience and Enrollment Management, Southern Methodist University; and Director of Membership Karen Zunkel, director, Program for Women in Science and Engineering, Iowa State University.
