2002 MentorNet Partners Forum - Pre-Event Information

Engaging Professionals and Building Relationships

Overview:

The purpose of the MentorNet Partners Forums is to bring together MentorNet’s current and prospective campus, corporate, professional society, and government representatives to discuss common purpose and mutual interests, and determine how each can extract greater value from their participation in MentorNet.

Specifically, the Forum offers you the opportunity to:

  1. Understand how you can better utilize the MentorNet resources to support initiatives including those designed to enhance the success of women and under-represented minorities in your company, organization and/or college.
  2. Take advantage of the knowledge and experience of your fellow campus, corporate, government and/or professional society representatives on topics such as building successful recruiting programs for either mentors or students as well as how to be effective with e-mentoring programs.
  3. Be part of a dialogue on current findings and trends related to women in engineering, science and math.
  4. Hear from students and mentors about the impact the program has had on their development, and what suggestions they have for you to improve the programs success.
  5. Network with leading professionals from your field.
