"I learned a lot about myself. I found that the MentorNet experience really made me reflect on my career and honestly evaluate how I dealt with various situations in the workplace." - MentorNet Mentor
The MentorNet Community
The MentorNet Community debuted in 2002 and evolved from evaluation results and feedback which said that MentorNet participants felt a sense of community. In response, MentorNet reorganized its web site to support and foster that community and to provide a wider choice of options to benefit from MentorNet's programs.
The MentorNet Community offers several
opportunities for participation. These include:
- One-on-One
Mentoring Programs – MentorNet's award-winning e-mentoring programs,
matching protégés and mentors for email based mentoring relationships.
- MentorNet
E-Forum – web-based discussion groups where Community members can exchange ideas and advice.
- Resources – links and readings relevant to women and diversity in science and engineering.
- Résumé Database – students at MentorNet's participating campuses can place their résumé here for
MentorNet's sponsors to view.
